The 2024 iHeartRadio Music Awards celebrated the best in music from the past year at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles on April 1st.
During the event, numerous musical artists received multiple awards, with Taylor Swift standing out as one of the night’s biggest winners. Out of her nine nominations, Swift claimed an impressive six awards, solidifying her status as a leading figure in the music industry – that she has always been!
Among her wins, the most prestigious was Artist of the Year. Despite not attending the event in person, the 34-year-old singer delivered a heartfelt virtual acceptance speech for this significant achievement:
“It’s completely up to you to choose how you spend your time, what concerts you want to go to, what music you want to make the soundtrack to your life.” Swift expressed in a video recorded before the event and played during the ceremony. “To anyone who has included me in those choices, I’m so, so, so thankful for that.”

Continuing her speech, the singer shared, “We have many exciting things coming up. I’m still on tour, and I’m thrilled to announce my new album, ‘The Tortured Poets Department,’ releasing on April 19.”
Taylor wrapped up by saying, “Thank you for choosing me as Artist of the Year. I’m incredibly grateful and overwhelmed by your support. I look forward to sharing more fun moments with all of you as we embark on this journey together.”
Swift made history at the 2024 Grammys by winning Album of the Year for her 2022 album “Midnights,” marking her fourth win in this category. In her acceptance speech, she revealed plans to release her 11th studio album, “The Tortured Poets Department,” on April 19.
Though Swift hasn’t released any singles from the new album yet, she revealed four versions of it, each with unique artwork named after bonus tracks: “The Manuscript,” “The Bolter,” “The Albatross,” and “The Black Dog.”
